Haden Cotswold Toaster Review

The Haden Cotswold Toaster is a retro-style four slice toaster. It has a sage green finish with stainless steel accents. The dials are reminiscent of those found on early kitchen appliances. Despite the retro style, the functionality is very much modern. Its most notable feature is the wide range of browning options which can be independently adjusted for each side.

The toaster has numerous standard features too. There's a defrost function which can be used to turn frozen bread into warm bread ready for toasting. The toaster is designed with wide slots to allow for the toasting of larger items. The self-centring guides ensure that whatever is placed inside gets an even brown. The features are as follows:

• Browning Control - The two browning dials (one for each side) offer full control over the texture and colour of your toast. There are six options in total ranging from the very light/pale brown, to a more golden brown, right up to a darker brown with a heavy crunch.
• Defrost / Reheat / Cancel - There are two sets of these three buttons. "Defrost" takes frozen slices of bread and turns them into ambient bread ready to be toasted. "Reheat" provides a blast of heat to warm up toast which has cooled down. "Cancel" allows the toasting cycle to be stopped early. These buttons illuminate when in use.
• Wide Slots - To fit larger items such as crumpets, tea cakes and bagels, the Cotswold Toaster has extra large slots.
• Self-Centring Guides - The internal guides will automatically centre whatever is placed inside of them. This allows for an even brown.
• Removable Crumb Tray - The toaster is equipped with two crumb trays. These can easily be removed for emptying by sliding them out.
• Cord Storage - There's storage space underneath the toaster for left over electrical cable.
