Smeg Toaster Review

The Smeg Retro Toaster is a two slice retro toaster. It's available in a wide variety of colours, each with chrome accents for added effect. The full list of colours is: Black, Cream, Gold, Pastel Blue, Pastel Green, Pink, Red, Rose Gold, Stainless Steel and White. It's a good toaster, full of modern features which we now go into.

The Smeg Retro Toaster has six timer based browning settings which allow you to make your preferred style of toast, extra wide slots to fit larger items such as crumpets, a defrost function for frozen items, a reheat function, a bagel function, self-centring racks for an even brown, a removable crumb tray, and much more. The features are as follows:

• Six Browning Settings - There are six browning options. Whether you prefer your toast faint brown, golden brown, dark brown, crispy or crunchy, this toaster is able to accommodate.
• Extra Wide Slots - The Smeg Toaster is fitted with extra wide slots. They can fit larger and different shaped items such as bagels, crumpets, tea cakes, thick cut artisan slices of bread, etc.
• Self-Centring Racks - The toasting racks (guides) automatically centre whatever is put inside of them. This allows for an even brown.
• Defrost / Reheat / Bagel - The toaster's buttons illuminate. "Defrost" turns frozen bread into ambient bread ready for toasting (without making it soggy). "Reheat" warms up toast which has cooled down without toasting from scratch. "Bagel" toasts bagels in the usual way - one side toasted and the other gently warmed.
• Automatic Pop Up - Once the toasting cycle has finished the toast will automatically pop up.
• Removable Crumb Tray - Underneath the toaster is a touch release crumb tray which can be emptied as and when needed.
• Anti-Slip Feet - For stability, the toaster has anti-slip feet.
• Cord Storage - Extra electrical cable can be stored underneath the toaster.
