Dualit Architect Toaster Review

The Dualit Architect Toaster is a four slice brushed stainless steel toaster with contemporary features. It's available in Black, Grey (pictured) and White Canvas (pictured). To enhance the design, the toaster can be fitted with interchangeable side panels. Its style is strong, with a clean industrial inspired look and smooth curves. It suits both modern and retro kitchens.

From a feature point of view, the toaster is very much modern. It has a defrost function to prepare frozen slices of bread for toasting and a bagel function to toast one side and warm the other. It has eight levels of browning, and to top things off, it has what Dualit call "Perfect Toast Technology". This essentially means that the toaster can sense the temperature and adjust itself so as to provide consistent toasting. We discuss more of the features in detail later.

• Browning - There's a dial on the front of the toaster with 8 settings, with increasing intensity. Whether you prefer light brown, golden brown or very dark brown and thoroughly toasted bread, this toaster is able to accommodate.
• Extra Wide Slots - The slots are extra wide to fit in thicker slices of bread.
• Perfect Toast Technology - The toaster maintains a consistent toasting after repeated uses by detecting the temperature and adjusting the output accordingly.
• Defrost / Bagel - The "Defrost" function will defrost frozen slices of bread quickly and efficiently. The "Bagel" function will toast bagels on one side and gently warm the other.
• Peek & Pop - So that you can tell how your toast is getting on, the Architect Toaster is fitted with a "Peek & Pop" function to allow you to do so without interrupting the toasting cycle.
• Removable Crumb Tray - The toaster is fitted with a crumb tray. It easily slides out for emptying.
